Instead of planning events and programs that would make the residents smile and laugh, we had to prioritize infection control and resident safety. We had to pause the amazing activities that the Spirit of the Season has supported for so many years.
We focused on keeping families connected to the residents through video visits and phone calls. This was instrumental in maintaining the HD residents' moods as well as keep the family members assured that their loved one was safe and healthy.
Now, as COVID-19’s presence has diminished, we are looking to slowly and safely return to our normal level of program offerings.
Though resident safety will always be a priority, we will soon bring back the quality of life focused programs that have added to the HD residents' daily routine for over 3 decades.
