1988 - Cardinal John O'Connor initiates the HD Unit at Terrence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center, 5th Ave. and 105th Street.
1988 - Our first major fundraiser - Boat ride around NYC with food, dancing and singing.
1990 - Our event moves indoors to Shea Stadium.
1991 - The Jim White Unit for the Care of People with Huntington's Disease is dedicated by Cardinal John O'Connor. One wing of 25 people call the Unit "home".
1998 - The second wing is opened. 48 beds in total. We continually have a waiting list.
2003 - Huntington's Disease Society of America awards Mary White and the Unit with their Outstanding Service Award.
2004 - The Unit is re-dedicated as The Mary and Jim White Unit for the Care of People with Huntington's Disease.
2015 - New HD facility opens at Ferncliff, located in Rhinecliff, NY as part of Archcare (NY Catholic Diocese Healthcare System) Center for Neurological Diseases. The new center is focused on residents with HD and ALS.
2017 - The Ferncliff Unit opens it's second wing and now has 36 dedicated beds.
2018 - The 30th Anniversary of the HD Unit! The progress we have made in providing care is all possible because of YOU!
2022 - Constructions begins to expand the HD Unit at Ferncliff, creating room for over 60 residents.
2023 - Constructions begins with $2 million renovation at Mary and Jim White Unit at TCCHCC.
